Okay, I have not been writing on this blog in a very long time. Since May, actually. I think that it's time to come back. I had been focusing on other things and unfortunately I neglected this blog thus not promoting and thus so therefore I wasn't able to promote this blog.

Things should change. I'll be coming back on this blog for a while, updating things and probably re-inventing the style of this blog. Still feel free to ready any older entries I made, but know that I'll be doing some reno. Okay. Thanks for reading, and stick with me while I bring this blog back on it's feet. Peace. <3

Writer's Block: You Ate What?

  • May. 16th, 2009 at 3:33 PM

What's the weirdest thing you've ever eaten? Would you eat it again?

View 501 Answers

Hmm...I'd say it was when I was little. I had two pieces of wheat bread. Something convinced me to put mustard on it and eat it. My mom pretty much laughed at me. o_O. Lol, and no I don't think I'll be eating that again.

Yum.

I Have Been Gone...But I'm Still Here...

  • May. 16th, 2009 at 3:22 PM

I'm back. It has been months since I have posted...anything. I had been focusing more on my Vlogs rather than written, but I sure do miss writing blogs as well. For my Vlogs on Youtube, add me by request only. (For privacy reasons)

Also, my myspace:

http://www.myspace.com/blindeyedbully

I will get back into the grove of blogging on LiveJournal because I really do like this site and I also need to promote this blog better. Also...

I have another blog, dedicated to nothing but poetry, which is:

I'll keep on blogging preferably within a day or two as I have a lot that I'd like to put down. It's good to back. Peace.

Writer's Block: True Crime

Today is the anniversary of the death of Elizabeth Short, also known as the Black Dahlia. What real-life murder story are you most fascinated by?

View 500 Answers

Wow. Well, I'd say a story that really gets to me is the story of Kendra Webdale. She was murdered here in New York City in...99/2000 I believe. One of those years. The man who killed her pushed her in front of a train in the subway. She was killed and because of her death, there is a law called Kendra's Law that states any person's here in New York is subject to being institutionalized or forced to take their meds if they are considered "high risk" when it comes to their mental state.

Barry Jennings And The WTC7 Issue.

  • Jan. 14th, 2009 at 12:30 PM

Okay. I'm not sure if I spoke of this issue before, but this is an issue that I feel needs to be put on the headlines. (But, of course, it won't.)

Barry Jennings was a man who worked for the NYCHA (New York City Housing Authority). On the morning of September 11th, 2001, a little bit before 9:03 A.M., Mr. Jennings, and Micheal Hess, New York's corporation council, was heading up into the emergency command center on the 23rd floor of WTC7.

In an interview with the BBC network, Barry Jennings had said that when he and Mr. Hess had went into the building, he had saw that there were half eaten sandwiches and coffee that was still obviously hot, though there were no people in the office.

When Barry Jennings phoned a few people, he and Mr. Hess was told to "Get out of there." Meaning to evacuate the building. Okay, so let's get to the BBC issue, which connects here.

BBC and The Interview

**I will include a video of the interview between Mr. Jennings and BBC at the bottom of the blog page.

When the BBC network interviewed Mr. Jennings, he told a story that was contradictory to the 9/11 theory of what happened to the WTC7 building and how it fell.

“One Firefighter had fallen. I believe that he was having a heart attack. He says u have to run. I said, ‘I can’t can’t run. My knees are swollen.’ He says, ‘you’ll have to run because we have reports of more explosions.’”

</p>

“Well, I’m just confused about one thing and one thing only. Why WTC7 went down in the first place. I’m very confused about that. I know what I heard. I heard explosions. The explanation. I got was the fuel oil tank. I’m an old boiler guy. If it was a fuel oil tank it would’ve been one side of the building when I got to that lobby. The lobby was totally destroyed. It looked like King Kong had came through and stepped on it. It was so destroyed that I didn’t even know where I was. They had to take me out through a hole in the wall. A makeshift wall that I believe the FDNY had to make to get me out.” --Barry Jennings

Barry Jennings' cause of death has never be exposed, and his family has not talked about that either. The only thing we know, is that his date of death was 8/19/2008.

The videos I will post will lead you directly to the interviews and other footage involving this issue. Please view them and understand them so that you will know what really happened--and not the chewed up and molded story the U.S. government would love for you to believe.

The BBC network aired the third tower in July in an attempt to debunk BJ’s account; which is both contradictory and damaging of the official 9/11 story. Allegedly, Jennings asked them not to air it, because he [Jennings] was being threatened.

“The FF kept telling us, “don’t look down.” I kept saying, “Why?”

Bj’s claimed that he could feel the bodies of people under him/his feet.

**Here is the interview with Barry Jennings about the WTC7.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VQY-ksiuwKU      <<Part 1 of 2 Uncut Version.

Also. Please Please do watch this next video as it is detrimental to the U.S's story of the WTC/9/11 happenings.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8T2_nedORjw&NR=1    <<How Did WTC7 Fall?

Also, at the end on How Did WTC7 Fall, pay attention to what the men are saying. I'll outline it for you:

Pay attention to what the man/men say at the end of this video about Controlled Demolitions. Controlled demolitions take about 2 weeks to plan on average. Okay? Right? Well, the first man talking, said, that if WTC7 was taken down, then most likely it was a controlled demolition because, “pull”, a word commonly used among domolishers, was used. So, if WTC7 was a controlled demolition, than what does that mean?

It was planned two weeks in advance?

Okay, So, I have been busy and haven't been able to blog for a while.

Okay.

Well it's a new year and the recession is over! I can't believe it! I didn't think we'd EVER get out of this hell--

What?

Shit.

Okay, well, I guess I counted the chickens too early...

But that doesn't stop Mayor Bloomberg, Mayor of New York City (my home town) from doing it if he thought we'd actually vote for him.

Well, the problem, is that by law, the Mayor of this city (or any city in the U.S.?) Is allowed two terms. When he's elected the first time, he does his few years, and if he wants to run once more, go on ahead. But, Mayor Bloomberg is taking Nyc's kindness for total weakness. He wants to run for a third term, even though that is not written in the law. So how will he do this?

He wants to change the law. Yesterday, it was announced that a judge threw out the lawsuit against the Mayor, brought on by public advocates. There was a hearing a few months ago that was televised, where people of the city stood up to the Mayor and told him that they weren't going to be pushed around.

Even though the people of our city directly told him that we do not want him there, he makes statements such as, he feels as if [nyc] needs him right now to help us through this recession.

It's kind of like this, in a sense:

New York City: We don't want you!
Bloomberg: Yes, of course you do!
NYC: No!
Bloom: Yes!
NYC: No!
Bloom: Yes! You need me!
NYC: No, we don't!

Yeah. So, this is the situation that we are in. My best bet for, not only New Yorkers, but this country, is to grab onto any job you can and take it while you have it. It doesn't matter if it's being the CEO of a company, or cleaning someone's floor. It's better to have any (legal) job, and money in the bank, than turn down the job because it is "below" you. In school, they taught us that no legal job is below you.

In these times we can not afford to be ashamed of what we do. I think that is a serious problem in the United States, and that's why a lot of companies are outsourcing. (That and cheap labor). But yeah, you get my point. So, yeah, let's hope that Bloomberg gets the point.

FACT: Mayor Bloomberg only makes $1.00 a year on his payroll.

OPINION: Some say it's because he has billions anyway. I say it's because he does not want to pay taxes.

Im Bakkkk

  • Dec. 6th, 2008 at 1:08 PM

I haven't been blogging since 1961.

It's been too long, and things have been going good/average/sad/boring. Enough about me.

Well, as we can see, our economy has "officially" died and now we're in a recession.

What kills me is that they decided to announce it like months after it began. I feel as if the only reason they're making it "official", is because they want to have an excuse to tax us more, take our money and say, "Oh, don't worry. It's just recession money."

Please.

And, I feel as if it's too bad that Bush set the bar so low, because when Obama does something good, it could be small or big, itll look AWESOME, compared to what Bush did.

How is that bad?

Because if that happens, Obama would get away with doing little. But I think that we should give the man a chance and see what he does. Like I've said before; this is why I did NOT vote, because if something terrible happens, God forbid, at least I'll know that my vote (or non-vote) did not have a damn thing to do with that happening.

LiveJournal Has Not Been Coo-Well.

  • Nov. 9th, 2008 at 5:45 PM

I haven't been able to blog for a few days because LiveJournal had been acting...odd. Well, anyways, life has changed, huh?

So, Obama won. Are we happy? Some of us are.

I can say that I know of those who are not happy about this.

I can't say whether are not these people are racists, because it's irrational to call anyone a racist simply because they did not vote for Obama, because the race was not about race [wait...].

No, the "Race For The White House" was about who had the skills to pay the bills [of our failing economy]. I do hope that Obama has these skills, as he seems like someone who wants to rectify our current problems to the best of his ability. There's a saying, "You Can't Shake Hands With A Closed Fist." If people who actually are racist and purposely did not vote for him for that reason, then there's nothing we can do, because they fail to see beyond, color.

I saw a video on Youtube of Republicans in Ohio who were bashing Obama. One little girl stood by her mom, who carried an Obama doll, said, "You need gloves to touch him."

What? Am I the only one disgusted by this? A little child? Where would a little child learn this from? Why would she say this? It's teaching. Children are not born to discriminate.

And if you dont believe me, ici...[here, French. Geek...].

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VJghQMq49dw&feature=related

What is to come of the generation of the youth. All I can say is this. Generation Y and the Millennials...

It's up to us to not follow the paths of our elders. I feel as if we should stop or avoid the radical ways of our parents, grandparents and etc. So, as young people, we shouldn't be learning and teaching these views because they don't help build a progresion.

Peace out and whatever.

It's Time. It's Time.

  • Nov. 4th, 2008 at 8:26 PM

The time is now. The results are coming in. I'm nervous. We're all nervous. I don't trust any politicians and I'm feeling coked up on Reese's peanut butter cups. Eh...

I just talked to my friend. He told me that he voted for McCain. My eyes basically popped out. This guy who I thought was so..."not" a republican, but he is. Oh well...

Anyway, I hope that something good comes out of this day. I also hope that the southerners don't get any "ideas" in the even that Obama wins. It's crazy. It's scary. It's a history making event. If Obama wins it'll be interesting. But, I've got to admit it, it McCain didn't hae Palin on his team, I would've thought about it, but then I realized how much I disliked the Republicans due to their favor ties in the south (which I hate too.) I hate the south. Ehh, those damn hicks. Shit...
Also, if it's showing the wrong time, this is being posted on November 4th, 2008 at 8:44 P.M.

Stressful.

  • Nov. 1st, 2008 at 6:24 AM

I remember when I was a little girl. I used to go to daycare, and of course they fed us. So, one evening, I remember my mom picking me up, and me telling her what I ate that day. Her response?

"Don't eat so much or go for seconds; they're gonna think you're greed."

I believe that that was one of the things that began my social anxiety disorder/fear of eating in front of people. Don't get me wrong...other things were definite factors, but that statement stands out.

Today, in public, I am able, somewhat to eat in front of people, but not a lot. Usually, I end up feeling guilty, as if I shouldnt be eating that; as if I'm commting the sin of gluttony, you know?

I also believe that thats what had a hand in my eating "problems" a couple years back, but I can't go into that.

When I was in middle school/high school I would NEVER eat. There were days that I would go starving/tired/weak, because I wouldnt eat. I would wait until I got home, and then binged on whatever was in the fridge. It drove me crazy.

I'd watch my friends eat their food and I just couldnt stand it. Even when it wasn't school lunch; a party, a bakesale, I would never eat, because I was afraid of what people'd think. But yeah, it's hard.

Today, if I go to the supermarket, I get SO nervous at the checkout isle. It's maddening. I dunno what it is. Sometimes, if there are too many people in the same isle, or if there is someone I know in the same isle as me, I wont buy anything, or ill just go to the next isle until they leave. I dunno exactly how this started, but its been like this most of my life. Over the years, it has improved, I'd say by maybe 10%. Thats it. I even have problems going to like a deli/corner store to buy food. Dont ask.

One day my bf was walking me to the subway after school. So, we are going to the store, because I was starving, but I didnt want to buy anything in front of him...but, I couldnt just go in and out of the store. So, I nervously bought a candy bar, but didnt eat it in front of him.

And many other times, like when we'd go to lunch, and I HATED when he always wanted to buy the food. DOnt get me wrong, it was so sweet that he did that, but I just felt weird eating around him and all that stuff. I didnt like to involve food, eating in front of him, etc. But, oh well, it is what it is.

Eh...by the way, did I forget to mention how much I LOVE NYC?....

Except for the fact that finding a job here is near impossible?

I would become a hooker...but cant risk getting arrested.

Peace etre avec toi!

Also, whoever wins, wins and I just dont care anymore.

It's Almost Here.

  • Oct. 27th, 2008 at 12:53 AM

It's been a while since I've been blogging. I've been busy trying to pressure my poor little soul into taking the SAT to get into college next fall. It sucks because the deadline is march 15th.

Also, finding a normal job hasn't been a vacation, but I'm trying.

So, the elections are coming up soon. I've lost my hope. It's gotten to the point at which I don't care anymore. I don't trust any of the candidates and refuse to get my hopes up...

Eh...

We'll see what happens soon.

PS> If you notice some crazy images or weird layouts, its only because LJ is changing servers or something. Yay. So, sorry.

Nidhi: Hi, nice to meet you online. How are you doing today?
AngryCustomer: Yeah im fine. Listen. I dont know what kind of thing Verizon is running here, but dont think that Im stupid. Why is it that my verizon DSL service is slow? Also, when i try to click on a site, it redirects me to a bullshit site for Verizon Wireless or some other site that has nothing to do with what i want? Verizon cant legally do this. Net Neutrality.
AngryCustomer: Verizon told me that it was a virus and my computer is fast and has no viruses...so its you guys.
AngryCustomer: I mine as well go to Time Warner and pay less for the same bull.

AngryCustomer: Vera *******. I am the daughter.
Nidhi: Thank you for providing me the necessary information. I appreciate your co-operation.
Nidhi: Ms. *******, if I understand your concern correctly, you are getting the slow speed. Am I correct?
AngryCustomer: the problem is this; sometimes its slow. Somtimes its fast. When I try to go on some sites, Im redirected to sites that have nothing to do with what I want. Once, a site took me to Verizon Wireless' online store.
Nidhi: Please do not worry, I will definitely take care of the issue and make sure to fix that for you. You are our esteemed customer and we care for our customers.
Nidhi: May I know the model of the modem (Westell Versalink 327, Westell 6100, Wirespeed, Actiontec etc.) which you are using?
AngryCustomer: 6100
AngryCustomer: westell
Nidhi: Alright.
Nidhi: Also let me know if you are using any third party router or equipment connected between the modem and the computer?
AngryCustomer: No, Im not.
Nidhi: Alright.
Nidhi: Please may I know whether you are online with me from the same computer on which you are facing the issue?
AngryCustomer: Ok, you know what? I know that you work hard, believe me. I used to do a phone center job too. I'm not mad at you. It's your company. They violate censorship. You should be more aware of what they're doing. I'm gonna go now because I'm tired. Hopefully my internet works right. Bye now

Ok, so I am a user of Verizon DSL. Ok...and I'm calling them out.

I am accusing Verizon of blocking and slowing down sites on purpose. I have proof.

Lately, my DSL has been running slow. This has happened before, but after about 50 calls to the damn company and three modems later, it began working. Ok.

So, last night, I typed in "Verizon  DSL slow" on Google. It came up with dozens of results. People were complaining, and someone even said that here in Brooklyn, N.Y., verizon is really slow, which it is.

So I tired to click and click on the sites. The first few times, nothing showed up. It either stayed on the google page or went white to thatr "Opening http://" shit. So, I did get there, once. When I tried to click on another result, what did I get?....

Verizon Wireless. Yes, Wireless, not DSL. The site was filled with cellular phones and plans by the company. Kind of like soliciting me to buy one. I wasn't interested in buying a damn cellular phone, again, from this company. I wanted to know what others were saying. How is it that when I get results from a site that has nothing to do with Verizon Wireless, I get that page? Huh? I dunno.

But, that wasn't the case when I did a sample search. Not to mention that when I actually did type in Google.com, it was speedy as hell, but when I typed in Cookie Recipes...something neutral and nothing controversial, it was also, fast as hell. I clicked on one of the results, which was a site called AllRecipes.com. It was as fast as if everything was fine. I don't get it.

No wait, I do get it.

It's this Net Neutrality shit...or whatever.

I really did, I swear I did want to call Verizon and curse out one of the reps, but then I realized, because 95% speak broken English, it would've been a waste.

Also, the day of reckoning is Nov 4th. We shall see.

I'm Angry And Stressed...Go Figure.

  • Oct. 11th, 2008 at 10:36 PM

Parents.

Purpose?

Life's little reminders that no matter where you go, you'll always being watched?

Yet again, my mom ruins a chance for me to be happy...

I'm so pissed that I can't even go into it, because it i do, I might cry and go on an eating binge. [gotta keep that figure!]

So, now she's all touchy and upset because I told her that I'm moving out this December. Oh well...

You know what's even weirder?

There's a guy and I liked him. Then after a while I didnt like him. Now, I like him, and I dont even think he's going to like me anymore (unless it's for sex...then, who knows?)

And somehow my mom is the center of this. Now, the reason for me leaving home is not because of this guy, alone. Lots of things that my mom does and fails to see as wrong until 2 days later when she feels bad. She cant accept that fact that I'm growing up and am not 10 any longer.

My dad is a whole 'nother story. You may have heard of it, it was made into a movie called The Shining.

I'm just stressed. But, as a silver lining, I got laid [layed?], so that made me happy...

But, yeah, my life is stressful, right now...but, I'll be fine. Peace.

This Makes Me Mad.

  • Oct. 10th, 2008 at 8:31 PM

Palin's in trouble...well, kinda.

They're investigating Palin's reasons for firing some guy. Oh wow...what else is new.

Anyways, today I wanted to talk about something that makes me angry.

It's when people call ALL black people...African American.

Oh my God!

It makes me so fucking angry. If you don't know, I am Caribbean American (father) and African American (mom). It upsets me that when people talk about things that affect the black community, they tend to say, "In the African American community..."

It pisses me off because, believe it, or not, African Americans and Caribbean Americans are NOT the same. Yes, we all did originate from Africa, I suppose, but when we were separated by our loving Europeans/Spaniards, we all created different cultures. The lingo, the traditions and the beliefs of the African Community are not the same as the Caribbean Community.

Are Puerto Rico and Mexico the same? No. No.

So yeah, that's what makes me upset. So, people, if you are talking about ALL black people in general, say black people. If you are talking about African American's, say so. If talking of Caribbean American's say so, but DO NOT classify us as all the same, because we're not.

Peace.

I'm not moving away from political chat completely. I enjoy talking about current events and random things. I just like to keep it ecletic, and also because the current political state of our nation is causing me to emotionally vomit.

So, I've been thinking about making a documentary. I made one earlier this year in school. [How I met my ex boyfriend :D]. I'm thinking about doing another one, but I'm not sure what topic I'd like to cover. Last night on Sundance, there was a docu about the profits and misfortunes of using oil worldwide. It was really good. One of my favorite Docu's is the one about Jim Jones and the Jonestown Massacre.

A few ideas have came into play [at the risk of being plagerized]

Bisexuality Throughout History:

I was thinking that I could make a docu about bisexuality from the earliest of times throughout now. About how it has influenced certian societies, why it's such a touchy subject and how people feel about it whether they agree w/it or not or are bisexual or not.

2. Social Anxiety Disorder:

This topic is very important to me, because I am a sufferer of this disorder. When i was about 11/12 I was admitted to therapy (go figure). My therapist worked with my mom and I and it came to be that I had Social Anxiety Disorder. Social Anxiety Disorder is a disorder in which people have trouble doing things or saying things in public or maybe not in public, it could be around certian people, for fear of being watched, judge, noticed and such. Some things that people with SAD have trouble doing would be:
  • Buying things in a store
  • Talking to new people
  • Being picked to speak in a group
  • Talking to people they may know
  • Looking people in the eye
  • Writing in front of people
  • Going out
  • Eating in front of someone/people
  • Talking on the phone, calling people, and more.
Over the years, I've worked on this problem and have gotten a little better (without medicine), but stll have problems to this day. Lots of people suffer from this, so this is a subject that I'm considering. Not a lot of people are willing to talk about this, because it's looked at as being, "shy", or just a loner personality, but sometimes it's more than that.

Well, I dunno yet but I hope that I can do this. Peace.

I'm Still Alive.

  • Oct. 7th, 2008 at 2:37 PM

I haven't posted in a day or two. I've been so busy. Eh...

Today, a man was hit by a train here in NYC.

It was about 5 A.M., the news said. A man in his 20's was pushed.

You know, as if it's scary enough actaully falling and not being able to get up...isn't it worse to be pushed?

But it's not surprising, since it used to happen a lot. Recently, in the mellinium years, people who were hit by trains were usually hit by accident. But in the 90's, 80's and before, for some reason there was a high level of homelessness/people w/ mental illness in the nyc subway. So, they'd push people. But, after Kendra's Law, I believe that it all came down.

Kendra's Law was a law created because of the death oif Kendra Webdale. In '99 I believe, or maybe '98...one of those years, Kendra Webdale was pushed in front of a train by a mentally disturbed man, Andrew Goldstein.

This is why, in the subway, I dont stand near the edge.

Eh... I remember when my ex bf used to do that, I'd get so pissed. He used to joke and hug me, then get me to the platform where the yellow part was. I hated that. When I was little the subway was my worse enemy. I used to cry and shit because I was afraid. Now, I'm like whatever, but I'm still careful.

Oh man, now I'm thinking about my ex.

I miss him...I feel angry that we're not together. He made me happy...then it was done. I dunno. Relationships are not as fun as i thought that'd be when I was 12...

I'm Back...From The Hospital!

  • Oct. 4th, 2008 at 11:00 AM

So, Tuesday I had a bloody headache. I thought that it was meningitis, because I had meningitis this year in June. Ok, so Wednesday morning, around 3 A.M. I began vomiting and my mom and the EMT took me to the hospital and said that it was a flu. Ok. So I had the flu and was vomiting every ten minutes in the ER. It really sucked. I just came home from the hospital.
Now, for the rest of the weekend, this means that I have to rest up for the coming week. Eh...

I have a BMCC open house on the 8th, and I totally have to go to that. Not kidding. I need to get rested, but I still will blog.

Ok, so there was this article in the paper about how some people are disliking Rachel Maddow. She's a woman who has a show on MSNBC [watch her, she's awesome].

Her show is relatively new, but boy can she come out with the punches. Her and Keith Olberman; very good. So basically, what's going on is that, somehow, people are focusing away from her work and toward her sexuality. Really?
Really?

Is this where we're at now? Why does it even matter? She's a good host, she speaks the truth and she has her data to back it up and she's telling us her message. If she's gay, so what? There was also mention of some joke about a car and who'd be driving.

I didn't get it.

Anyway, Rachel Maddow, weeknights on MSNBC.

I saw some of the debate [They have TV's in hospitals}. Me watching that only gave me more reason to not like Pollination Palin. I really...don't...get it. It's so painful. Biden's side was mature and accurate. Even through the Tylenol laced with codeine, I could see that she was beating around the bush. "Well, I'm not gonna answer the question the way you'd like to hear it."

Ok then. Bitch you lose.

NEXT!

BREAKING NEWS: BAILOUT IS REJECTED. DOW 700 POINTS DOWN.

A couple of days ago, my mom notified me of an article in the newspaper Metro. There is an article here, stating that fliers were circulated in a Northern New Jersey town with the headline, "DO YOU WANT A BLACK PRESIDENT?"

I kid you not. Search for it online.

The flier, which is shown in the article, displays Barack Obama with a cigarette in his mouth [obviously PS'd] with a look of lethargy. The flier also states this subtitle: "Black Ruled Nations; most unstable and violent in the world."

Oh right, because before Columbo...I mean Columbus invaded Africa, the continent of Africa was all fucked up, right?

The article claims that the flier gives reasons like HIV/AIDS, Poverty, and somehow Osama Bin Laden, on the reasons why  the nations of Haiti and South Africa are failing. The flier claims that  "The United States Of America Will Be Next." And you know something, I believe them, but do you know who's fault that is?
(Q The Curb Your Enthusiasm Music)

How in the hell can they blame someone who isn't even in office yet? Also, according to the article, the fliers were left by a white supremist group, [Go Figure] called The League Of American Patriots. The Roxbury Police will not treat this as a hate crime, because the fliers were not a target for certian homes.

Writer's Block: Rosh Hashanah

  • Sep. 29th, 2008 at 2:09 PM

Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, begins today. How are you celebrating? If you're not, how do you plan on guiding your fate over the course of the next year?

View 384 Answers

Well, I'm not Jewish, but when it comes to fate, I am a strong believer in Karma. I believe, that if you treat people badly, it will happen to you. If you do good to someone, good things will come your way. If you are apathetic about things, you will be in the same place as long as you are so. That's how I guide my fate, not only for the year but for my life.

I didn't see the debate the other night. [aww]

Though, while at a meeting on saturday, a couple of people at the table were talking about politics and the state of our government during break time. It was very scary to hear, simply because what they were saying is true:

We could have ourselves another depression folks. Or, we could potentially become Germany pre-Hitler, with bread costing thousands of dollars, and our dollar not being worth a damn thing. The government is in so much debt, that no matter who gets in ofice; Obama or McCain, it will be near impossible to rectify the money problems and possible enter a surplus.

If this happens, we will have to adjust our lives; as the middle class is becoming obsolete and a reality of Be Rich or Be Poor is occuring.

Public assistance rates may go up and since the demand for food will be so high, the prices of our food will go up.

I recently began to notice something very interesting recently:

I haven't aten donuts in a long time. Recently, my mom bought me some. Now, the donuts she bought usually come with six (mini donuts). Ok. But, it seems as if the company sliced some; there are only four in a pack now. This reminds me of when the stores began to keep the same size of a box or can of a product, but lessen the amount in the box or can.

For example, I was watching the news one morning, and they said that an Ice Cream company, I can remember who it was, but they stated that they were minimizing the amout of icecream that would be put into the container, but they were keeping the container size, leaving a noticible amount missing. Eh...

So, my point here, is that this is serious. This isn't some little, "Oh, we're in trouble...I think" issue. This is a full out, Our Gov't Is Dying, issue.

So, I was online, and came upon this picture:

(Eminem?)

Which made me think: Is this true?

Maybe.

But, the more important question is, Does it matter?

Not really.

You see, blogging is a way for people to connect. This poster is actually quite funny, and ironic because I'm about to blog about posters like this.

I meant to blog about this a week ago but forgot. Does anyone know where these kind of posters come from? I've seen them online all of the time with different slogans, and keep wondering who made them and where they come from? A lot of them are so funny. Yeah, so I'm just wondering, because those posters are interesting. Ok, peace.

Writer's Block: One Hit Wonder Day

  • Sep. 25th, 2008 at 10:19 AM

Today's National One Hit Wonder Day. Whole albums or entire ouvres can be quite impressive, but more often than not, individual songs have the largest impact on us. Which one hit wonders have played a major role in your life?

View 501 Answers

I'm not sure if this group is actually a OHW, but I don't remember hearing anything else from them. They made a song called Lady. Oh my God. That's like my favorite song of all time. Not only because the lyrics/beat are rocking, but because that song brings back a lot of memories. I think that that song came out around 98's./Late 90's. The years of 98-00 were the best for me. My friends and I were tight, the summers/winters were great and the music was real. All of the club/dance music was real music, unlike the stuff today. So yeah, that song Lady by Modjo is such a good song. It's my favorite because as soon as I hear that beat, like, 1 million memories come to my mind.

Eh...I wanna cry.

Peace.

So, I'm watching The Morning Show With Mike and Julia. One of the many topics is open marriages.

Eh...

So, there's a woman on there, named Jenny Block, the author of a book called Open.

This woman is basically stating that she's ok with an open marriage, she and her husband are involved with another and blah blah bullshit.

And the worse part?

She calls herself a bisexual.

Eh....

This is the dumbest shit I've heard in my life. There is no way, no way in hell that it's ok to have an open marriage. And yes, I'm not the universal judge of everything, but it's simply illogical.

Now, I know what you're thinking.

What makes me the judge of all things bisexual?

Nothing, actually. I don't have a degree in human sexuality/bisexuality. I feel as if people exploiting marriage, love and the LGBT community is wrong, even as a lesbian, I still feel compelled to say something.

If I'm married to a woman, I'm married to her and only her, and I wouldn't have sex w/ someone else. If she's suggests that, then, I'm sorry, this won't work. Same goes for a man.

When the woman on M/J, Julia Block, was asked if she were bisexual, she coyly smiled, and said yes. Ok. Now, I have one question.

Who are you in love with? She says that we, as humans, are not wired to be monogomus. That's bullshit. We, as humans, are not wired to drink the Clorox from under the sink, but teens have done it...and lived.

Is she in love with the man [husband], or the woman? Both? Ok. I understand that. Emotional love for both? If so, I understand that. But she just stated that she has a "girlfriend", and has been seeing her for two years. Ok, I get it. If you love her and are serious about her, its all good, but....

STOP BEING WITH YOUR HUSBAND!

Im sorry, it just makes me so upset, because women (and men) like this are exploiting marriage, love and sexuality. It's rediculous. That's just my philosphy and I know that not everyone will agree with me. I believe that if you're in a relationship, no matter who you love/what your sexuality is, you should be with one person only. If you realize that the love is gone, then it's time to split. But, I believe in monogomy, only. That's it.

Shit.

Also, last night, Bush addressed the nation, or whatever. He was basically stating that if we were to go into a serious recession [we haven't?], then people would not be able to buy homes, get car loans or pay for their kids college. Here's my solution:  Rent an apartment, take the subway and help the kids get grants and financial loans. My sister who went to college like way back in the day (early 90's) did not have to pay for college. She used grants, but of course, that was in the time of the Democrats, when things were a little more lax. The gov't actuallt cared about us, but now...I dunno.

Bush gives every reason under the sun, yet...leaves out the obvious: THE WAR IN IRA-WHAT?

Oh man. Being oblivious is so sad and aggravating.

The Repubs are upset, because the Dems want the wealthy to pay taxes.

I hear the crickets too.

Why is this even a discussion? Why is this even a fucking debate? You know what? I'm gonna break it down and tell you exactly what's going on in this situation:

There are two men. One man lives on Park Ave. and the other lives on Nostrand Ave. Park Ave. has 50Mill in the bank while Nostrand has $5,000.00 in the bank. Nostrand Ave. has to pay way more taxes than Park Ave. Is this right?

NO!

It's like telling the homeless that they have to pay for a rich person's coffee. What the fuck is going on? Why would-I dunno...

I've given up on this poor excuse for a country. It's ridiculous. We pretend that everything will go away. The BabyBoomer [sorry mom] generation have left their ridiculous behavior and financial irresponsibility on the generations of the 80's and 90's [Mine]. The youth, us, in this country, are going to have to pay for all of this bullshit that's going on in the years to come. Next year, how am I going to get into college? How am I going to get grants? I don't need a car. I just need to know how I'll pay half the rent and get into school. I cant afford to take any loans because I'm not paying all that money. [Four years of undergrad/Two years of Grad. MSW]. Wow...this country is like a scene from a movie, when the person falls of the roof. Right before they hit the ground but after they fall-that moment. It could go good or bad, but most likely bad. That's what this country is like. Shit.

I guess that the reason why I haven't been talking about politics lately, is becuse of the fact that the same bull has been happening. Nothing's changing--yet, so I'll just have to wait for the next forty days until things start to get, real.

Today I want to talk about Urban Legends. Legends Urbana...[hmm...]. One Urban Legend that caught my eye, was the one about people actually being buried alive.

What?

Yes. According to this site--> http://www.snopes.com, people have actually been buried alive.

In the late 16th Century [1500's], Mathew Wall was being buried in England. So, what had happened, was that one of the pallbearers tripped, causing the other to trip. They dropped the coffin and Mathew was discovered to be alive. But...

In 1595, a couple of years after the "almost died in ground" incident happened, Mathew Wall actually died. Though, since the life expectancy during that time was not long...

Another one is that drug addicts leave thier HIV infected needles in the coin slots of payphones.

Really?

Really?

No!

Well, according to Snopes, there were two emails/internet notices about these situations. One from, an anonymous source stating that a "friend" of his/hers, who is an EMT, was notified by the phone company that drug addicts who were HIV positive or hard AIDS were putting their needles in public phones. Ok, first off, why would someone do that? [I could think of a few].

Another one, provided by the World Health Organization. It states that in Montreal, someone in a movie theater sat on something sharp. When the looked to see what it was, there was a note stating, "You have just been infected with AIDS."

Ok, obviously, these are false. I mean, I'm sure that this could  happen, but has it? I doubt it/would hope not. Well, according to snopes, they're all false. If they were true, there'd be an uproar, unless the gov't would have had everything consored. Eh...

One that really depresses me, is from a site that's not Snopes. It basically says that  there was a woman, who on the 26th of October [couple days before Halloween] had killed herself by hanging herself from a tree. Passerbyers did not do anything for a while because they thought that she was part of a display, but she wasnt. She had killed herself. Did this really happen?

Yes.

In 2005, in Deleware, a 42 year old woman actually did this. The police treated it as a suicide.

Some Urban Legends are scary, silly or just plain sad.

Writer's Block: Autumn Begins

  • Sep. 22nd, 2008 at 12:41 PM

Autumn starts today! How do you personally sense the change in seasons? Is Autumn more of a season in itself, or a transition period?

View 500 Answers

Fall is more of a transition for me. Winter and Fall are my favorite. I can tell that fall has started when the children go back to school, te sky gets darker and the leaves start falling. Also, the streetsget quieter [which I love.] When I was a little girl in PS 32, I remember back to school and fall coming hand in hand. The smell of the plastic on the new bookbags and me wearing a new jacket. Heh, yeah.

Eh...

Well, today I was going to talk about a good topic, but, then I lost it/deleted it, so now I can't talk about it. Eh. Maybe I'll get it back tomorrow.

Not much to say now, but I'll probably have much more to say next time.
